evo III 16g porting question

hello, i was wondering if it was safe to port the evo III 16g, because i saw on a site that it wasnt or that it wasnt recommended. if its safe how much better performance does the porting deliver.
also does the porting eliminate most of the boost creap, or should i also get the 34mm flapper. thanks

a simple search will wield answers.

porting is perfectly fine on a 16g. almost everyone I've spoken too has had it done, including me. As far as the flapper goes, some people have it some people dont. I personally would recommend getting it.

and as far as porting giving performance gains just think, a larger diameter will always wield better air flow. which is always better for performance and definitely helps creep

I agree, porting will definitly wield better airflow.

port the turbine side, but from what ive read up, it really makes no difference if you port the compressor outlet

from what i have hear/read is that porting is fine but clipping can sometimes give people screwy results. My advise port it dont clip it , just IMO

i just read that if you port it, that you won't be able to hold high psi at higher RPMs, is this true?

My brother has a ported and clipped Evo 3 big 16g and it spools super nice. i would suggest
getting it ported. I also have a friend(mmmbst) who has a 2.3 with a Evo 3 big 16g. He hits full boost at 3200rpm and that's 26psi. They are both ported and clipped.

YES...but what about holding that high boost well past 5,500 RPMS ?
