evo 8 turbo on 2g i did it

the flange pic

hey i hate the way the bay looks to, it looks like a cluster f***. but i like cruze control and i try out a ground wiring kit...LOL i dont know why, but on a different note what size injectors do you think i should go too, and if i do up grade my injectors will it need to be tuned and if so do they have a flash kit or an cheaper/easier way then a dyno or dsmlink?

So your exhaust manifold, bolt it right up to the 4g63 head from a 2g?Or did u get a flange there too?...

you can dyno tune on a apexi safc. i was lucky enough to find a used one for 100.

had the guy custom make me that flange between the manifold and turbo that rotates its 180degrees and he kept the twin scrol, too it pulls pretty hard alot at the top end, pulling 18lbs for now until i break it in alil

do you know or have an idea of what kind of numbers your putting out with this set-up @18lbs??

LOL i have know idea nor will i guess b/c that just wrong. my buddy has one of the g-tech thing that tell you how much hp, probable not accr. but in the ball park. ill have to try it out

anythought on injectors? and sizes i should get
 
Just so you guys know, you don't have to buy a flange if you have the EVO 8 manifold. Just turn the turbo 180* on the mani, and drill and tap 2 holes; one in the manifold and one in the turbo flange. The twin scroll divider still lines up (of course) and it is much cheaper than using an adapter, plus you keep a true twin-scroll manifold.
In Ghetto Colt I am using a Honda radiator, too. With addition of a larger aftermarket oil cooler temps stay low. In my silver Mirage (I didn't build it, but) I have a T-66 and have a Honda-ish-sized radiator and it never gets hot either, even with the oil cooler bypassed.

Very creative. You should do something about the wires being all over the place. and have the intake filter more tucked. The pipe looks hacked up. No offense just what I seen. But cool idea on the swap. Dyno numbers are a must.
 
Great job getting the evo 8 turbo to work with a 2g. You always hear people talking about it but you are the first that I have seen to do it. Kudos to you, I don't think that the engine bay looks that bad, considering the engine bays of some people that I know working a project.
