Alright, I did the Evo 8 swap while I drove my summer car for a few months; I'm getting my Talon back out and have started to roll my initial settings (mods in profile). I got the injector/maf scalings, adjusted the knock multiplier, etc, as per the guides in the massive original swap thread. I didn't see an answer digging through the thread, but what is everyone running as their initial boost setting?
I was running 14psi before the swap, but we all know Evo's run ~18psi stock. Everyone says the Evo 8 maps are great base-maps to work from, but they're obviously tuned for the 18psi said Evos are running out of the box. This leads me to a problem; start at like 12psi and work my way up, or start at ~18psi and go from there? Obviously no one begins tuning a DSM at waste-gate, and Evo owners don't start tuning at 12psi, but what about DSMs after the swap?
I guess I'm just looking for a good point to start at, and there was no mention of it in the swap thread. I'm certain I can tune this beast, so help me get started!
