First off, I already searched many times and have done tons of research on this site and it's all very helpful. I do have a question that may not have been answered though and may not be able to be answered but thought I would try.

I understand that the JDM Galant knuckles are what must be used in order to get the front calipers to work. Wondering if anyone has confirmed if any US model knuckle will work rather than getting this JDM knuckle from overseas?

Thanks

I understand that US Galant knuckles will not work but I'm talking like 3G Eclipse or some other US Mitsubishi car that is 100% confirmed to work.

No USDM knuckle will work with the conversion for our cars, if you had a 3G they would just bolt-on. Alas, have patience fellow DSM'er it's gonna take time to track down the infamous '99 JDM Galant knuckles, but they're out there (keep checking the classified section of this forum & I've seen a few set on fleabay before) I've attached a pic of the different knuckles, so you can see why the 3G knuckle (and any other USDM Mitsu knuckle) just won't work here.

Thanks for all the help guys. Now the search is on for some '99 JDM Galant knuckles...anyone have a set they want to sell me :)

Damn DSMunknown, what in the world did you grind your knuckles down for??

Seriously try mitsumissle I PM'd him he sent me a price and a paypal, and they were on
my front door like 3-4 days later, including the weekend!
And the price was 200-300 less than 4g63power on DSMtalk. Would have been cheaper without ABS sensors, but I didnt want the light on untill I got the motivation to eliminate ABS. So if you got the money to pick em up for MAYBE a LITTLE less than finding them on ebay you might just pick em up, from my understanding pretty much everyone I seen with the upgrade talked to him.

Over all I spent 1450-1500 on all four corners, a good chunk of change but for barely used
calipers/rotors/pads/knuckles and abs sensors, thats pretty damn good for big brakes
all the way around, specially brembos.

Now I am just waiting to put them on!

Actually, I didn't. Borrowed that photo from another DSMer. Was just illustrating a point.

I find that paying a little here and there works effing great. My wallet can't take one big punch.

Thanks for all the help guys. I actualy just won some Brembo Calipers on eBay for $580. They are freshly powdercoated and rebuilt with Genuine Brembo seals and what not, they look amazing. I will post up some pictures when they get here. I'm gonna talk with mitsumissle soon to get the knuckles so I can complete this project.

I'm on the fence about doing this, I don't want to spend the money and come to find out they don't fit with my 17" rota sub zero's.

I guess getting new rims and tires is a small price to pay when you could have Brembos on all 4 corners?? From what I remember is that you have to atleast have 17'' rims to work with the brembo front calipers so they clear them.. Have you read this yet? http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art.../260580-diy-install-evo-brakes-brembo-g2.html At the bottom he talks about wheel size and offset.
