evo 8 bov

I know this is probably in the wrong place but I just wanted to know if anybody knows how much boost a stock Evo 8 Bov can hold without leaking and is it sufficient for a 14b at 16psi?

A stock evo can sometimes get an VIII BOV to crack open at full boost. But it's a bigger turbo and at 19 psi. Regardless, it should hold a 14b at 16 psi just fine.

I don't know what it can handle at its max, but I doubt it's much more then that seeing as it's pretty similar to the 2g valve. If you want a quality one that will bolt right to the factory 2g uicp, get an Evo IX compressor bypass valve. They are metal and can handle more boost then 1g cbv's.

Go with the Evo IX one. It's not going to cost you much more and it will hold more boost.
