G'day all
I am wanting to put an evo 3 head onto an old starion block and was wondering if it is feasible/possible?
Have read that there are issues around oil drains etc.
Cheers

The US starions were a g54b 2.6L so that wont work but I believe the Japanese and Australian starions were a 4g63 single overhead cam but don't quote me. I used to have a conquest but that was years ago but I thought I remember people outside the US installing the 4g63 dohc head. Probably have better luck on the starion/conquest forums for the info your looking for.

Cheers
I forgot that most of the us starions were 4g54.
And yes the starions only came out with the 4g63 in Australia. We never got the 2.6 version.
I currently run an evo3 in the starion converted to rwd but the gearbox dosnt bolt up and needs an adaptor. I am trying to negate the need for the adaptor.
Will try the starion blokes.
Cheers

The 2.6L g54b is a wide block engine while the dsm 4g63 is a narrow block which changes the transmission bolt pattern. Here people would find a wide block 4g64 from other Mitsubishi and Hyundai vehicles to bolt up to the standard starion transmission. projectzerog.com may contain some of the info you are looking for.
