Evo 3 16G porting

Question for anyone who owns a non ported EVO 16G turbo.

Do you have boost surge or creep issues? I keep hearing people say that due to the way the EVO 16G turbo is designed you do not need to port the waste gate area and install the 34mm flapper upgrade.

I just ordered a evo 3 turbo and I dont know if I should upgrade the flapper or not.

IMO the problem lies in the o2 housing, not the flapper. You can have the WG hole ported and 34mm flapper insalled and Im sure that will help. You can also have the o2 housing ported and solve the problem for sure.
