I have a question I plan on running 650 injectors within next month. I'm running 13psi on it now. I was thinking turning it up to 17psi until proper tuning. Would this be safe boost?

No one can tell you get a logger and turn it up untill you see timing pulled/knock. Each car is different because of there set ups

With 650s and a fuel pump, you have enough fuel to run upwards of 25+psi but on pump gas, i would keep it at 20 psi max. Go in small increments when tuning. Move up to 15, log, then 17, log etc.

I run 20 psi daily with 660s and a 255 fuel pump on a t3/t04e 50 trim.

Im kinda in the same spot...

Im wondering if itd be ok to watch just my a/f ratio's when i get a wideband, instead of logging things with a logger. If the a/f ratios are ok, then things should be fine right? This would be temporary of course, Im getting the wideband first, and the logger in a few weeks. I would want to see my IDC, timing, etc.

With a good tune you should be able to run around 20psi on pump. When I was on my e316g I was running 25psi on pump with meth injection. Now with my 60trim I am running 26psi on pump.Gotta love that meth.:D

Are you planning on doing all of your tuning with your maft or do you have a safc2 or something similair? When i had my 90 GSX with the maft it was kind of a pain to tune with just the maft and logger but when i put the same setup on my 91 tsi awd and added a safc2 to the mix it was 50 times easier. either way you're gonna want a data logger of some kind, i just used one of the ones off ebay and it worked great for both of my former 1G's.

This is a bad idea, while running what should be a safe WB air/fuel ratio may be okay there is always the possibility that it isn't safe, wait till you have a logger. As to the origional poster, do you have a logger? This question has been asked a million times & its always the same answer. There is no "set boost" that is safe to run. There are just to many combinations & even the same combinations may not run the same. The only way to tell what boost you can run safely on pump gas or race gas is to get a logger & go from there. Personally I have run up to 22 psi on pump without knock but results may very with different tunning devices, available pump octane, etc.
