Yeah, you guys bought a 4G63, that is oh so much better then the 420a, right? So you put on a couple minute mods and suddenly you are hardcore tuners? huh? Is that right?

Try building, porting, and swapping a stroked motor. Putting together a custom turbo kit, and installing correctly enough to put down good number. Oh, and disgnostics, customization, and everything else along those lines are included. Because, the car originially was never intended to be turboed and needed a complete overhaul...

LIKE I SAID: This isn't about what motor is "better". It's about respecting the fact we all modify our DSMs. God damn. Some of you guys sound like 15 year old punks who still need to grow up.

You want to play the "better" game here, then go somewhere else. Last time I checked, Tuners wasn't about whose "better".

I had my 98 GS... I did EVERYTHING to baby that car and it was nothing but trouble.
so was my sisters RS.
and my wifes old GS.....WTF

I knew that there was much more power and potential to be had from going with the top of the line model. and I was right.
my GSX makes my modded GS feel like a dodge neon!

yes there are people who can make their 420a eclipses and talons fast, but lets be honest, everytime I look at these cars for sale they are close to the same price as turbo DSMs. why go 9 10ths of a mile and stop? why would you buy a car to save even a thousand and not go the rest of the way to turbo awsomeness???

fact is:
the VAST majority of 420a cars are budget commuters.
not performance machines.

Some of you guys are some real assholes for real. The whole point of this thread is not to bash different engine types, it's simply about RESPECT. We all signed up, created usernames and joined this site for one reason.... and I don't think that I'll have to explain what that reason is. So what if the 420A is not going to be as fast as a 4g63 motor with the same amount of money put into it, but these guys are on here because we all share the same passion whether your car is faster than the other guy's or not. Come on, GROW UP PEOPLE!

I have never had any major problems with both of my 420a cars besides the regular maintenance. Neither had my cousin. Or my good friend. Or my best friend. We can argue all day about which engine is better, worse, etc. but I have to agree with BoostedinSoFla and Blitz. We all signed up on this site because we want info on fixing, modding, basically anything with our cars and we are all a family whether we like it or not. Why knock on our fellow brothers when we should be knocking on "competition" (hondas, mazdas, v8 muscle, etc). I am not going to involve myself in this argument because it's worthless. Everyone needs to get off their high horses and quit thinking they are better than another just because of the engine they have in their car. All our cars were built at the same plant anyways.
