The other cars that this guy thinks are dsm's are just cousins of dsm's. My wife has an avenger with the 6cyl spyder engine, most of the parts are dsm, the interior panles are 2G eclipse, with the infinity system. And just beacause it may have all of the parts we have doesn't mean it's a dsm. But mearely cousins, with alot of simularities.

The 2.5 Mits v6....None of them came with that, are you sure? Could have been the engine they put into 3g's, but why would it be in a 99 Avenger.

You are correct, none came with the 2.5L v6, they came with the 2.4L. 3G's are another story.

The 95 Avenger says DSM on the firewall. And technically DSM stopped in 1995 so from 96 to present all the eclipse's are Mitsu. The 96-98 talons were built by Mitsu to fulfill a contract that they had with chysler. That is why my 1997 Talon says MITSUBISHI on the firewall instead of DSM like a 89-95 would.

So technically the only TRUE DSM's are the ones that SAY DSM on the firewall. 89-95

I'm not flaming you, just verbally speaking my frustration, too. I've had this conversation over and over again in the past years to all of the non-dsm crowd. Personally, I don't really give a F!@K about what the technicality is. DSMs are DSMs because of the community, cars, and people in which are enthusiastic about them. Saying, oh that must be X car because it was made in Y factory which makes Z car, so X car MUST be the same thing as Z car is absolutely retarded. You don't see us screaming about how the Audi A4 MUST be the same thing as a VW GTI (just as an example) WTF

i agree 100% with you...it is annoying to explain and such, which was what i was trying to say.
