Stock 1996 GSX sold in California has Evap Canister under battery tray.
While replacing the clutch we removed the Evap can. I have all the vacuum hoses hooked up and the only thing venting to atmosphere is the connector labeled AIR.
Have no apparent loose hoses that need a place to connect.
Studied the factory service manual (section 17-71), the Haynes, and the Chilton guides looking for proper connection.
The car is stock except for the K&N air filter.
Can I leave the Evap Can AIR connection open ?
Please advise. Here in California we have to be smog checked every two years
and things have to be in place.
