Well I was given a lot of parts when I bought my Talon, Kid was tired of messing with it. Of course he new nothing about DSM's. He was a Mustang guy. So after putting all the spare parts off to the side while I finished putting the engine back together. I finally started to doing some research of the spares parts. I found out the EVO 3 16g turbo (or so he said) was actually an Ebay t3/t4 turbo with a Civic exhaust manifold. I wasn't to upset about that because he threw in the stock T-25. (I just picked up my MHI Evo 3 16g, so im good) but it made me do some more research on the other parts. The FMIC that was given to me was spray painted black so I really couldnt tell what it was. I just figured it was an Ebay core. So I got on Ebay and looked for something similar to my intercooler, and to my surprise I found that it is an ETS Core. Im not too familiar with the brand but did some research and many people love it. I was wondering if there is a knock off brand of the ETS core. If so and if mine is a knock off would I still be able to use it? I dont want to jeopardize my build with cheep parts. Please give me your thoughts. I dont have any pics of mine but Ill post a link of what it looks like.

Post some pics of the intercooler in question. That will make it much easier to identify.

^^True story.. Although a cheap eBay core will by no means jeopardize your build.. Lots of people run the VRSF fmic and other cheap cores. It's really hard to mess something like an intercooler up, the only thing that could potentially go wrong would be too small of a core, causing higher IAT's.
