I really had no intention of burdening anyone on here with my little car "fire". But, since you asked, I will post a pic.

This happened two weeks ago, early Sunday morning while I was sleeping. It woke me when I heard an explosion.

Still no real idea what happened. A lot of speculation, but no real answers.

Please carry more than liability insurance on your race car I am still trying to figure out how much was lost.

I am going to build a FWD car here this fall, so you will probably see a lot of dumb post from me on which suspension, tires, wheels... etc.. Should be interesting.

Thanks for the words.

I am not sure how it started. The car was driven home from test and tune on a Thursday eve. The car was running great. I parked it and did not touch it until I was trying to put the fire out Sunday morning.

The bad news is, it was said to have started around the area where my nitrous solonoids were. So, there COULD have been an electrical short if the system was left on. But, it would have been on for three days, and I assume it would have started quicker, but I am no expert! Nor do I believe I would have left my system armed.

Is it possible I left it on? Yes. Do I beleive I left it on? No. But, with it all burnt, no one can tell me for sure.

Mike, I checked out your turbos on your website, and I must say that I'm impressed.

As far as the AGP L2R goes, I was also impressed with it. LarryD, did you get the internal wastegate option on the L2R???

I guess I'm impressed with all the turbos...

It's such a hard decision.

There are a lot of good turbos on the market now cucumber.

It is a very good thing for the consumer to have so many choices and so many price points to meet there needs!

Not to put words in Larry's mouth but he got the external with a gorgeous tial wastegate and o2 housing

I am just curious as to how low of boost it can hold.

I have one. I'm not sure what the lowest is, depending on how you adjusted the wastegate actuator. I set mine up to run 16 psi in the beginning (which it held perfectly with no spike or creep) for initial tuning. Right now it sits at ~21.5. Boost control is a Greddy Profec B.
