I've done a search and was surprised. I came up with nothing. No one was ever curious about equal spark plug wires? And BEFORE I say anything else let me say this:

This thread is NOT about the performance gains/losses or w/e of equal length wires!!

This thread is about aesthetics. I mean I have a bundle of wires sitting there in my engine bay. I don't want a spark plug cover. Though some of them do look really cool. I just want equal length wires to get rid of my mess. A friend of mine a few years ago had them on his DSM. They looked really great. All short and tidy looking, no need to be zip tied or anything.

So, does anyone know where I can get a set of these or piece them together without having to pay for 4 sets of them or paying a ton of money for them?

Equal length is not always the answer. For the tidy look, the location and position of the coil pack will directly reflect how long your plug wires need to be. For example: What good are equal length wires if your coil pack is bolted to the strut tower, or even in the factory location?

For the tidy look, measure the distances between the plug well and coil pack for each wire with the coil pack where you want it. Then call Taylor Cable ((800)821-3600) and have them make you a custom length set.

Well, that's true but I figured that equal length wires would be more feasible than ones with a slightly different length for each. But if I can get ones with only a little bit of difference then that's beter so hey, I'll just try that then.

Thanks!

I'm sure taylor would want an arm and leg for them.
MSD makes some that you cut and splice to your own length. I know they are on AMSPerformance.com not sure who else sells them besides ebay. But be prepared to spend about $100 on them.

You have run out of things to worry about.
Hit up your local hot rod shop -real hot rods, not someone with an APC rack- and get some bulk wire, wire ends, boots and terminals, and build yourself a set. Shouldn't cost you more than about forty bucks.

When they wired the high desert town of Bodie, they insisted the wires ran in as straight a course as possible, so the electricity wouldn't fall off on the corners. I know of no studies that have ever proven this is a bad idea.

Sadly I don't think there IS any local hot rod shop. But I'll look. At forty bucks that'd be cheaper than actual wires in a lot of cases.

I don't know of anyone who offers the boots for the plug-end for our cars.

Wow what a PITA. I've been on the phone with taylor for a long time and it's a project. Geez

If you are using the stock coil pack, running equal length wires is going to look horrible... When you've taken a few minutes to properly run your plug wires they look clean and tidy.

Sure... we could... but this thread is not about that. And I truly don't want to get a new cover and all the little plastic pieces that have to go in there when they are LONG gone. Plus I'd have to take it out every time I wanted to... blegh, no. (though yours DOES look nice)

Anyways, I was afraid of the lack of availability for our spark plug boots. I guess I'll give AMS a call Monday.
