Eprom?

Im buying a 98 gst and i was wondering if they came with eproms because the owner thinks the 98-99 gst's did but is not sure

Go to www.dsmlink.com and look at the FAQ's. Only way to find out is pull the ecu and check. To my knowledge only the 95's have them.

That's correct. Unless a previous owner happened to swap ECU's with a '95 and do the subsequent modifications required to run it, a 96-99 DSM will not have an Eprom ECU. Even some '95's didn't come with them.

Only selected 1G DSM came with an EPROM ECU. Most, if not all 1995 DSM came with an EPROM ECU. After 1995 no DSM were manufactured with an EPROM ECU.

I will ask him if he did swap it but i doubt it he probably wouldve known if there was one in there then what would be the modifcations i would have to do to run one?
