I have a new project I will be starting it is a Galant VR4. I will be installing a manual boost controller, EVO 16g, 560 EVO injectors, 255 fuel pump and 2g Mas. Will it be a noticiable difference between the stock ECM and EPROM. I don't want to add any piggy-back cumputers, want the car to look stock.

I know it is. Is it worth the investment or gains to get my ECM socketed for the mods i will have?

If you don't want any piggyback computers, how are you going to correct for the injectors and MAF? They don't counterbalance each other and the best way is tune the car for them is to reprogram the ECU.

You might want to think about a 3G MAF so you don't have to buy a new intake pipe and then you can afford the AFPR required to run a 255 l/h fuel pump.

I have been looking at th 3g MAF don't know what route I will go. I just what to be clean and look factory. I guess I will have to use the 190lph fuel pump because the AFPR is out of the question. I wil get the chip because the first is free for Galant owners. Money is the least of my problems.:shhh:

If you're talking about getting a free chip from Keydiver, I don't think he does that anymore.

IMO you should get an AFPR even with a 190 pump, especially if money is not an issue.

One thing that everyone seems to forget is that engineers are pretty notorious for doing just enough to get the job done with respect to project requirements. The orifice in the OEM FPR is just big enough to pass the fuel required (with respect to a safety/whoops factor) in a OEM situation. Throw a bigger pump and you've shoot that out the window.

Sure, some people will "claim" that everything is working fine, and maybe it's "close enough". However, I guess I'm just an anal SOB that thinks any job worth doing is worth doing right (the first time), and I would get the AFPR on any pump upgrade just to assure that it will not be an issue. Plus you have the added benefit of another tuning device.

my 0.02 and your call.

Even though the Chip may not be free, it is definitely worth it. Keydiver chips are quality!
