EPROM in my 97 GST???

can i put an eprom ecu in my 97 eclipse??? i realize that with one i have a lot more options and would like to know if i could swap it into my 1997 mitsu eclipse gst. any help from members, or a link to a site with everything about it would be awesome. thanks in advance.

if you want to do it hassle free make sure you get a 2g epprom ecu. Search on ebay or dsmtrader, you can find em for $200. But when u get dsmlink send em to the above websites to get them socketed.

so how does it work, will it just fully replace my unit or what? is there any modifications i'll have to do to put it in at all?

It fully replaces it, you just plug the wiring harnesses intot he new ecu
you're doing this so you can get dsmlink right? you need to do a lot more research or your going to be posting on how to use dsmlink even more than you will be using it.

yeah i'm going to use dsm link definitely. i'm gonna do my research and locally i know a kid that knows everything about it, i just wanted a little better understanding of the eprom ecu and whether there were any mods i'd need to do to use it. the sites have been very helpful, thanks for the help.
