eprom in a 90 gsx 5 speed question......

Sorry im not to keen on this site or dsms just bought my first today. A red 1990 5 speed gsx.....has a bigger turbo, 780?cc injectors, a single wally 255, 3 inch catback, afpr, a 2g exhaust manifold and a few other small goodies. Right now its got a maft and 3 inch gm maf sensor. My tuner recommends a 2nd gen dsm maf and an eprom ecu for better driveability......what do yall think? Thanks-justin

P.s.-will the car need some conversion to run the eprom?

If your computer isn't eprom it will need to be changed and if it is then you will need to get it socketed and then you can either get a new chip programmed to your setup or go with dsmlink and tune at will. As far as the maf you can do what you want both work well.

No, the GM maf is a lot better than the 2g MAF. Downgrading to it would be a STUPID idea.

The EPROM ECU is only useful because you can chip it with something like ECM-Link which is the only tuning solution I'd use personally. MAFT is your current tuning solution but does not really tune it just allows you to run over sized injectors.
