I’ve done some searching but didn't really find a whole lot of the info I was looking for. First I’m looking to buy an eprom ecu, i found one that has been socketed. What I need to know is will it be plug and play? I know I read that since my car is a 98 that I will have to swap around my injectors but is that all?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

thanks guys, yea i have a buddy who has already bought the ecm link so all i need to do is get the ecu and were good to go. i have the ecu lined up and it is already socketed and comes with stock chip, but where can i get a ecmlink chip at? cost?

If you use link you have to compensate for reversed CAS as well.

I'd recommend you to choose the 98/99 ECU route though. Ceddy has done an incredible job in making them a great platform for tuning.

It sounds like you have a bit more research to do.

Before you buy anything:
-Read a bit more about ECMLink and what's involved with using that. Download the software (free) and see if you like the way it looks and functions.
-Then, read up a bit on flashing a 98/99 ecu (the ecu which you probably already have) and see what's involved with tuning that. Download it's software (also free) and the ROMs offered in the links above. Look into how you use that software and see if you'd be comfortable with that.

I don't want to start a huge ECMLink vs. flashing a 98/99 ecu debate here. Just look into each option. Both systems have pros and cons.
