can u install a eprom ecu with out having dsmlink and drive???

Man there's a lot of this 2Ga/2Gb ECU swap crap going around lately. Yes, if you swap the injector wires, look at one of the dozen other threads from the last week for specific instructions.

Yes, you need to swap the wires around. Cylinder 2&3 is swapped with 1&4. It doesn't matter which coil goes to wich plug as long as it's to one of the two cylinders it's getting swapped to.

I believe you will need to swap the injector wires as well at the ECU as the firing order is going to be backwards.

Is there something wrong with your ECU that is requiring the 95 ECU?

Both.

Using ECMlink you would select "invert CAS signal" and that eliminates the need to swap the injector wires at the ECU.

If nothing is wrong with your 97 ECU then keep it in until you you get Link. There will be no gains until Link is installed and it'll be a small hassle to just hook it up to use for now.

No, Hayne's manuals aren't written for people that can't plug something in.

Well you would pull the ECU out, put the chip in, a d renovated the spark plug wires. With link you don't touch the injector wires at the ECU as you click a check box in the program and it changes for you.
