I'm Fixing the solder job on my friends socketed eprom. The person that soldered it cant solder and bridged two leads together, and covered the connections in hot glue. Anyways there was a jumper wire running from pin 8 of the eprom chip to a hole running to pin 6 of the black chip to the right. I need to know what that wire is for (Bad install). Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I know its a jumper wire. I want to know why its there i've done alot of searching and found nothing about a jumper wire when socketing a eprom.

Wow your are dead on. Its the smallest fracture, i had to look under a scope to see it. Easy fix though.
