Long story short I blew up my old block (one of my vac lines fell off and it got over boosted) I picked up this block with 80k on it for 300 bucks plus a extra 5 speed tranny. Im not a stranger to building motors but this is my first import block with Alum. heads.
Have a few questions

They guy I bought it from said it has a balance shaft delete kit (and it does) Now im not to sure on this....should I just leave it as it is or put them back in? (trying to build power with some reliability) Are oil passages in the block area that need to be plugged off or is this something I should worry about?
Also should I remove frost plugs before hot tanking the block or just leave them on?
Should I get a new crank shaft (looking for a bullet prove bottom end)

Think Im going to go with forged pistons and rods.

Also im still kind of on a budget...so I have to take that account into well.

Im going to send in my head to have it port and polished and have 272 installed with evo springs.

Id be great for some helpful tips for those who have been hear before

My shot term goal is about 300whp maybe as much as 400 in the future. Ill try and stay updated with this tread and keep posting pictures. Thanks a lot guys!

PS im doing most of this build here at schoo
