I'm getting a set of enkei t6r wheels, at 17x9 however I'm not sure what inset I should get them at.
they're available at this diameter at 40 and 45. I'm currently running stock suspension but I want to upgrade it later down the line what should I do?

Beautiful...

For comparison, I'm running 17x8 with 42 offset - same size tire. 235/45 R17
These can go ALL the way to the bump stop without touching. The rear inside fender lip has been flattened.

With a 9" wheel, the sidewall profile with the same tire will be lower, and that turns out to be better for clearance. The risk is when you go for the 255 tire. The wheel choice and offset get REAL important.

Definitely go with the +40 as the +45 will likely rub in the rear. I've run a 17x8 +45 and it was a few millimeters away from rubbing.

On a side note, I absolutely love those wheels and have debated on ordering them myself, even in the bronze.
