What's the offset on the wheels? That will determine whether they fit and how much they stick out. I just got Evo8 wheels that are 17x8 with a 38mm offset. They stick out a little in the front, but otherwise fit perfectly.

Do you have any pictures of your car with Evo 8 rims on? I have been wondering how they would look.

a 45mm offset means that the rims will sit in further, they will fit fine, but you probably won't be able to run tires over 225/50/17, with 38mm most 235/45/17s will fit, possibly even 245s

No pictures yet. The car is still in my garage being put back together right now. I'll definitely get some pictures posted when the car is finished.

Concerning the original topic, another thing to possibly worry about with the 45mm offset is the rear trailing arm rubbing on the inside of the rim/tire. You can grind the lip down on the trailing arm, so it's not too big of an issue.

They sell wheel spacers. We had to use some on my dad's cts to pring the wheels out the 19's were hitting somethin.
