Enkei rpf1 or 5zigen fno1rc ?

Lol i know but i'm planning ahead and wanted to know which of the 2 rims you guys would rather choose and why ?
I am looking for a 17x8 wheel in size for either of the 2, and the enkei in silver and 5zigen in bronze.

, I just posted a wheel thread myself. As for your choices, both of those wheels are great. Bronze is definitely gonna turn some heads, also the wheel style is more subtle on the 5Z's. The rpf1 has a more aggressive and race look to it IMO. I have ran enkeis on 2 previous DSM's and have always been very satisfied with the weight and durability of their products. Hmmm. Interested to see what responses come of these 2 great wheels. Tough one bud.

18x9.5 fno1rcs. Seriously. In hyper black. I don't think rpf1s flow with our cars but they're good lightweight wheels.

um this is no match, the 5zingen look like our oem wheels not impressed at all.. enkeis have a better look and would look very nice on your car. I would get them 18 by 8.5 bronze likt this.

Enkei RPF1 in 17/8 are 15.6 pounds each compared 5Zigen Fno1rcs at 17 pounds even according to WHEELWEIGHTS.NET

I would go with RPF1's for sure.

So far i see the rpf1 winning the battle.
I honestly have been leaning more as well onto the rpf1 because as miniturbo said they do in fact look somewhat a little like our oem wheels with a little more agressive look to it.
I like the fact the enkei wheels are light and the rpf1 is not too simple but not too drastic of a rim either and less rotational weight = GOOD !
Btw - i love that wheel pic you posted about miniturbo my buddy showed me that new release from enkei.

Now i had a question for you guys. I see you guys are suggesting wide sizes and i am fixed on the wheel being 17".
I currently have 8" wide wheels on my car, would a 8.5 tuck well ?

I do like the fn01rc and it was actually my favorite wheel up until the last few days where more and more people have it and i sort of started looking at it differently.
It is in fact a nice wheel nonetheless but i want something diffrent than what people around here have and at the same time reduce rotating mass.

I was thinking of just staying 17x8 with 235/45/17 tires, same thing i have now. And my wheels fit perfect.

im running the evo wheels with 17x8's and 235 45 tires and i rub on my car over bumps i cant have people in my back seat i cant stand it but im not keeping them for long fabian is getting them in a few days

Maybe your suspension is shot or you just need a stiffer suspension setup like coilvers from tein or megan racing.

well i have a 2in drop on kyb springs and tokico blues shocks and there only like 10,ooo miles old

I don't know then . I only rub on my rear passenger side wheel and that's cause my suspension is shot, but my other side never rubs whatsoever.
I will get me a megan coilover suspension next year so i can care less of upgrading at the moment for temp fixes.

17/9 with a 27mm and a 255 tire on a 2g would require major fender rolling in the rear and some stiff springs to keep the tire from slamming into the front fender. I have 17/8 35mm offset with 235 tires and they rubbed in the rear with some fender modifications and 450 lb springs. So far so good up front with 500 lb springs, anything less than 500's and I would be touching for sure.

Agreed, i have 17x7.5 +40 offset on 235,45,17 and i rub when taking turns too hard, no fender mod... Stay tuned what did you use to roll the rear fenders? baseball bat method or actual fender rolling tool?

Actually because my car never sees snow or rain for that matter I just grinded the lip away a much as I needed to with an angle grinder.

So i'm a little at lost here. Say i get the enkei rpf1 in a 17x8 size with 235/45/17 tires paired with a megan racing suspension and raised a little in the rear, will it be fine ?
