Ok first off I would like to state that I am NOT benching these 2 engines, I am just looking for some answers.
Second isn't a 420A a neon sport/chysler engine (I had a neon b4 the talon and I am pretty sure it was a 420A)?
And finally in your opion what is the better engine (more reliable, better performing, ect..), the 4G63 or the 420A?
I am just curious. l8er :dsm: :talon: :laser:

It apples and oranges and opinion. You will never get the answer you are looking for. The 420A, yes from a Neon, was built as a good reliable N/A motor. The 4G63 was built to race in rally and handle alot of boost. They are both great at there respective chore, but neither is better than the other.

well said. . .it all depends on what you want, if you want a reliable and powerful motor, 4g63. if ya want a really good daily driver, 420a is your motor.

Read those concerning the 420a.
Read the advanced performance section concerning the 4g63's.

The 4g63 is built to take abuse the 420a is built to take some abuse. Day and night comparrison of these two engines like he said is completely impossible. Two different makers and two different setups on the cars they're installed in.

What specifics are you looking for?

I think the 420A is a better choice if you don't plan on racing your vehicle and just using it as a daily driver..less stuff to break since its non-turbo. The 4G63 can be reliable too, as long as you don't beat the crap out of it.

I say..
4g63 - for speed/racing
420a - for daily driving not racing
