Okay guys this is a 2 part question, I'm helping a friend of mine diagnose their car. They recently had the engine fully rebuilt by a local machinist. The engine turned with a ratchet fine before they put it in the car. Now that the engine is installed into the car it will NOT turn with a ratchet from the crank pulley. The car is NOT in gear and the spark plugs are out of the engine. However when we go to start the car...it turns right over with the starter motor, but it does sound like its turning a little slower than normal.
What the heck would make the engine feel seized like that? Could the starter be staying engaged with the flywheel?
The second question is, there is NO spark in cylinder 2 and 3. We have already replaced the Coil pack with a known good unit. we also replaced the Power Transistor with a known good unit. Still no luck. I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
