I curently own three DSM's:dsm: a 1995 rs Eclipse, a 1993 Talon dl, and a 1992 eclipse gst,. the 420a is just my daily driver. and the gst is smashed. is it posible that the 4g63t out of the gst will bolt to the 4g37 trans i know if it does i will need custom motor mounts or could i swap both the engine and the trans into the 4g37's frame? i would like to know if anyone has done this before and if so how? i have checked the faq with little luck.
thanks.

isnt the 4g37 the 1.8 single cam?
Well if so NO that tranny in no way can handle the gst engine even if it could bolt up.
And Im sure the gears wouldnt be properly lengthed for that motors potiential.
Id say dont even attempt it, if we are talking about the same motors.

I wouldnt even put a 4g63 n/t tranny with the gst because Ive confirmed that those
have been known to fail under race situations ( even on a stock motor )
Your going to have to get a regular gst tranny or just upgrade to a shepherds tranny while your at it.
