heres the low down. 90 gst a valve broke and so we replaced the engine (happend to have a 90 laying aournd with a fairly new head and 110,xxx on the lower end. it ran very good when it was in my car but thats a diffrent story

so we did the swap everything went VERY well took our time and didnt mess with anything internal so tonight hook it up with b16g. now the b16g has a broked bolt on the bottom of it where it connects to the o2 houseing. i figured ahh no big deal 3 out of 4 isnt to bad. so now i know it has a small leak between the turbo and o2 houseing on the upper part where i can see small bubbles.

other than this i dont know any more problems. i need to do a pressure test. then problem is that anythign under 2500ish rpm the engine runs like its going to studder apart. after 3000 builds boost runs oh so great.

would the exh leak cause this studdering? i cant figure it out..

any ideas no matter how far fetched are appriciated..

thanks

Could be but not limited to:

Boost leak (since you see the bubbles)
Spark plugs need gapped correctly
Spark plug wires
Coilpack(s) going out
Fuel filter clogged

Any smoke out the exhaust? Does the exhaust smell funny?
Probably a boost leak since you didnt install all the bolts.

thanks for the resonse but

new 7es's gapped right
new wires
no smoke or funny smells and the bubbles are on the exh side between the turbo and the o2 houseing i know there is a exh leak there but this is missing or studdering badly

Fix the exhaust leak
Coilpack(s) going out

Fuel filter clogged
Injectors are dirty
Fuel pump

That would pretty much eliminate ignition/fuel delivery problems

Intercooler piping leak

You might wanna recheck the wires where they hook to the coilpack. I was having the same problem as you (minus the exhaust leak) and I replaced the wires/plugs and it fixed it for like a day. Then it came back. I cam to notice that the boot around the coil pack connection had a hole burnt through it. Then I check the new wire and it was the same way. The coil was arcing onto the engine block. Replaced the faulty coil and everything was fine.
