I bought a ton a extra parts awhile ago ,in the mix i got a bare block and head ..Now i have extra time i want to learn and put together the engine
crank was machined , on the package it says ( mm 0.10 ) ..Rods were machined for 2g pistons , also have brand new rings for 2g pistons ( swm31103-0 )
Now a couple questions , what barrings do i need , caps ...What do i need to do with the block , machined to what specs ? Where can i read up on what i need to do this will be the 1st attempt at an engine rebuild/learning process ...What other things do i need to know or read , look for all the good stuff

First do you have the main caps for the block? the cam caps for the head? and the caps for the rods?

Since the crank ans been ground .010 you will need .010 bearings for it.

The block will need what it "says" it needs... so have the bores checked for round, taper and wear. bore as needed and buy pistons to fit the block bore.

There are tons of threads on engine builds, you need to decide on what goals and budget you want and go from there.

all caps yes yes and yes
I have brand new 2g pistons and rings (with caps)

I am just putting the engine together to get the idea of building them before i build up a performance engine ..So it will be mostly stock besides the bottom end with 2g pistons and the crank of course
Thanks for the reply i will check out more build threads , read and read more before i attempt it :thumb:
