Yesterday I turned on my engine since I was doing my turbo upgrade.
The upgrade was Turbonetics T3 manifold Garret 60-1 Turbo 2.5in from turbo to intercooler pipe and 3 inch from intercooler to T/B. The other mods were battery to the trunk with a 4 gauge wire (don’t know if this is enough?) and cruise control removal. (I leaved the cruise control plug unplugged) Add a GM Maf and translator and mounted the GM sensor vertically very close to the radiator (I wanted to make it look as clean as possible.)

The problem is that the car has a rough idle, like if i had aggressive cams ( very aggressive ones) The revs are at 550 or even 450 sometimes I drove the car around the neighborhood with open exhaust and it ran nice but when the car was at idle sometimes the engine shuts off. If I vev the car over 2000rpm’s it gets normal.

I don’t know if the GM Maf Translator has something to do with this because it was the only modification to the sensors i did. I don’t know if its because i mounted vertically or if i had to mount it like everyone else

I have a few unplugged plugs,

Cruise control Plug
Stock boost control solenoid plug
O2 sensor plug

If you need more info about my car please let me know

How are you not getting any CELs? Usually on a 2g, unplugging the BCS will trip a CEL. Most people just leave the BCS module plugged in, but cap off the nipples.

Which O2 sensor do you have unplugged? You sorta need that for correct air/fuel ratio.

if it is the number 2 o2 sensor then did a o2 sim for it. that will tell the computer that it find there and the idle sould be find. if its a number 1 then you need to put the o2 sensor back in there. like they said you would run into to a loop if you need it out.

Right know the #1 sensor the one that should be on the O2 housing is not plugged in, becuase I made a custom Downpipe and i cant get off my old sensor from my old O2 housing. The second sensor is plugged but theres no exhaust. I do have Check engine light even before the turbo upgrade I will be reciving DSMlink at the end of the month so i hope it helps.

So cuold be taht is dosent have O2 reading its richens the afr making the idel unstable?

Do you have the correct bung welded to the custom DP for the O2 sensor? Take the old O2 housing, clamp it in a vice, spray the O2 sensor threads with PB Blaster™, wait 20 minutes, and torque the sensor out. Or buy a new one for $50 with the stock harness. You need an O2 sensor, unless you're going to a WB SOON, so you need to figure that out.

I havent welded a bung yet and Thats what my friends and I been doing 3 days ago, triyng to get the old sensor out, I found a universal O2 sensor that works for my car at $79 and the one with the plug $130 Bosh ones, maybe get a little more $250 for a w/b?

It costs $50 here plus S&H.

If you plan on getting a wideband and have the money, go for it.

Most likely the problem is the o2, If you think about it, your computer doesnt know how to accurately adjust fuel with out your o2 sensor, so all its reading is that is about to die, then its not. Or like stated above it wont get out of closed loop.
Also plug that bcs back in, and the cruise control can remain unplugged no worries.
