Car has been running decent for the last 260 miles since the rebuild. I did the fiav mod which helped the high idle that i had. The shop told me to get like a drive ability tune on it. Well i never did cause the guys ostrich wasnt working so could do a street tune just gave me a base tune.

Today i went to get some E85 and the car all of a sudden starting to like bog under acceleration, almost like it was wasn't running on all cylinders and the wideband would go to 10. I would let off the gas and then give it gas, and it would go away.

When i did the mod with the fiav i never adjusted anything with the tune, not sure if you have to or not. But sometimes at idle the rpm's will just drop almost to the point where it dies, and then go back up to 950-1000 idle perfect.

Today when i was driving it and coming to a stop, i would have to keep giving it gas other wise it would die.

Yes i check for boost leaks and the bov to see if the hose came off everything was good. Also unplugged and plugged the maf back in.

Could it be that my tune sucks. Or the following: coil pack, maf, spark plugs and wires, crank shaft positioning sensor.

There is no cel light on.

No Just been using E85. But i still never changed out the fuel filter. I heard your suppose to not sure if that is true or not.

Kinda sounds like a tune and idle adjustment

Did you check the TPS?

Did you delete your ISC when you did the FIAV mod?

EDIT :
Check that filter some cant handle E85 for more than 1k miles at the most!

No i haven't checked it. I do have a datalogger and a multimeter so i will check tomorrow. Should it be set differently with the fiav mod??

i didnt delete my isc i thought i had to have it connected. To delete it do i just un-hook the harness for it, or completely take it out and get a block off plate for it?

I have 400 miles of E85 on the filter

i also checked my timing with a timing gun and it was off by 1 degree. set it to where it should be and thats when the problems started. So i set it back and it still does it.

I would keep the ISC just make sure its working right.

Check or replace the fuel filter, sometimes running E85 cleans out your fuel system pretty good and kills the filter.

Not sure on if the TPS needs to be set differently with FIAV mod or not, I would figure it wouldn't change. Just make sure its working. LOL

The car is running on the stock ecu's settings i take it? If this is the case, then I'd bet quite a bit of your problem is with the tune. E85 is higher octane and you will use 33.3% more of it than premium. This alone lets you know that some adjustments are needed. What injectors are you running? The bogging part tells me that it is indeed running really rich, as your A/F is telling you.

As for the idle, the above suggestions are all great.. I think you answered your own question, tho. You need a tune. :)

The ecu has a E85 chip made with an ostrich. Its just a base tune tho. Just so i can drive it around. The car has 300 miles on it now since the rebuild and it just started acting like this. ya i know i just didnt get why all of a sudden it would start doing this. I just ordered a ecmlink v3 with speed density. And gonna get it dyno tuned.

My spark plugs are also gapped at .030 would .028 be better?
