hey whats up, I just recently installed a Evo III 16g turbo Walbro 255lph fuel pump, 550rc injectors, and an hks hi power exhaust and an injen intake. I was just wondering what ecu or engine managment upgrade will i need to get my car running just right as far as timings and fuel delivery.

You are running 550 injectors and a big16g without any type of fuel tuning? I don't think that is very safe. You might want to get that AFC pretty quick.

I have the same setup as well....I'm woundering if I'm not really shooting for 11's or lower.....what kinda fuel managment should i go with? I don't want to spend $500plus to get the dsmlink......would the SAFC2 be the best way to go? I don't get the timing adjustment tho......

If you don't want to spend the $500 or so on DSMLink I would go with the safc since it seems to be the most popular. But as far as the DSMLink being $500+ I would say its worth every penny & more. You have to remember DSMLink also does datalogging, so an safc and a pocket logger setup would be around $500 as well by the time you add up the cost of the software, cable & palm.

Yup, an SAFC and a logger = a great street tune.

DSMlink is roughly $600, plus if you don't yet have a 95 ECU, those go for around $200-250. But wait-- the thread starter's car is listed as a 97 N/T.

Ordered my setup to be built about a month ago for $285...much more advanced than the SAFC-2 as well as more capabilities. ill be running a T3/T04E 50 trim with 550s, and i found, by searching, this is the most affordable and one of the most effective ways to go for the 2G n/t. Using the SAFC-2 is for fine tuning, and if your not careful it will advance timing to much.
