Hey guys, just got my motor back from getting dipped and IM ready to get it put back together. Just curious what are some good recommended Gasket rebuild kits out there.

I noticed this one, I would just have to get the head gasket separate:
EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Cometic Complete Gasket Kit: Mitsubishi Eclipse 1G 6 Bolt

also Im not big on ebay stuff unless its name brand, but this seems to be a complete kit. What do you guys think of Nippon?:
NIPPON RACING JDM DSM TURBO 4G63T GASKET SET 14B 16G: eBay Motors (item 180570835003 end time Dec-04-10 18:06:49 PST)

Or I could go locally at O'Reilly and get a Felpro complete kit. I have had great success with Felpro gasket kits, but I know the Head gasket is a composite gasket and I have been told to get a MLS Head gasket:
Fel-Pro KS2131 - Engine Kit Gasket Set 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Any help would be great! thanks!

A lot of people run Cometic stuff and you can't go wrong with ExtremePSI. I have ordered a lot of stuff from them and it always shows up stupid fast and cheap.

thanks for the input man!

And guys, IM not building a RACE engine or anything, just doing a stock rebuild!

thanks for the input

i have heard that a lot of people don’t like the felpro head gasket. i myself have never used it on a turbo engine but i have used it on a V6 before with good results. the last two 4G63T's i put togeather i used cometic head gaskets on. as for the rest of the gaskets go i prefer the felpro personally. i have used the cometic gaskets before as well as the topline kit and honestly can’t tell the difference between the two. the last time i put an engine together i used Indian head gasket shellac on all the gaskets anyway so i probably could have used a piece of paper and had the same results... but i can say this much, i have absolutely no leaks.

Thanks man I appreciate the help! Im looking forward to putting this thing together!

Hey in a 1G 4G63 6 bolt are the internals forged?
