Wahpeton,
Recently, I had a new clutch installed in my RS, but the throw out bearing didn't come with the kit so we didn't have a chance to put that in. Then the other day my speedometer went out and then I started to notice that when I'm in third or fourth gear and I let the rpms drop below 1500 and then push the clutch in, the engine seems to just die on me. If I push the clutch in above 1500 it drops down to around 900, but anything below 1500 it pretty much dies immediately unless you give the car gas. If you have any idea what could be wrong or need more information please help me. Thanks.

maybe u gotta bleed it again

explain the problewm more clearly

does this happen constantly?

and ever since u got ur new clutch?

who put in the clutch?

Speedo out? is the Speedo cable connected properly(does the 2g have a Cable or is it electronic?)

The problem seems to happen in all of the gears. It seems to only die when you let off the gas and not push the clutch in, then after you let the car slow down a little you push the clutch in and it will die if the RPMs are at 1500 or below in any of the gears. Do I have a huge Vacuum problem or is it something else?

It starts right back up after it dies, like nothing ever happened and it sits and idles fine.

shoot i dont know man it could be ignition timing, vaccum leak, a sensor. does it miss at all. thats the first ive ever heard of anything like that. does your check engine light come on
\

As soon as you push the clutch in after letting the car slow down on its own, it dies. The check engine light doesn't come on. I'll see if I can't get a movie of it in action after school today.

I had a similar problem with my car. As i'd sloe down, and eventually let the car idle.. it would idle pretty rough.. it would start at 1000, then drop to 500, and then go up to 750, and then it would just take a crap on me. I took it to a diagnostics center, and they said there was a loose connection by the crank shaft. I have an auto. though, so i dont know if this situation would apply to yours at all. I got it fixed, and it ran fine. It kinda happened again recently.. and that ended up being a head gasket. Now it runs fine and everything. I hope everything works out for ya :thumb:

http://www.angelfire.com/in/RZW/GIJoe/DSCF0002.AVI here is a video of my car doing what its doing execpt it didn't die it just dropped rpms like it was about to die. My server will probably get raped because it is a angelfire acount, so sorry about that. Hopefully this will help clear up some confusion.
