engine cuts out at low rpms

i just put a new mass air flow sensor on, and changed the o2 sensor, now if i try to give it gas, about 1500 to 2200 rpms the engine just stops, if i let off the gas it idles normal again, now if i put it to about 4000 to 5500 it doesnt do that, it just takes forever for the rpms to build up. if i unplug the maf it doesnt do that anymore, its just a slug. Im new to dsm's so any help here would be awesome. thanks.

did it just start doing that when you changed the MAF?

yea, i just took it to a guy whos knows way too much about dsm's and he said its pretty bad out of time, and hes going to fix it this weekend.

It can be only so far out of time before clearence problems. Also if you didn't have any problems before you converted to maf there is no timing issue. It would be more of air/fuel with the maf why it runs like that. You might need to tune with the transbox if you have it. Some car's run fine with everything set at 0. But not all car's are the same.

So we got it timed, and it was running sooo much better but it was still cutting out, the problem ended up being that the ecu was a piece of junk, swaped it out and the car runs amazing. hope this helps someone else.
