Hey guys check engine came on and have these 3 codes i would love to take care of: P0400 EGR flow malfunction?

P0125 CLSD loop fuel ctrl insificient coolent temp (just did radiator flush)

P0170 Fuel trim malfunction (bank 1).

Hit me with some answers dsm tech! :hmm:

The P0400 isn't really a big deal, is the EGR solenoid on the firewall still hooked up? Also you can do a test, unhook it and see if it is pulled any vacuum with a vacuum gauge. Unhooked it should be locked off and not allowing vacuum. If it is, then it is bad and needs to be replaced or just left plugged in and bypassed. That is what most people do. Just look the 2 nipples together.

The P0125 relates to the temperature of the cooling system. Did you remove of replace the thermostat when you did a radiator flush? It basically means that the vehicle is not reaching operating temperature at the appropriate time causing this code to set. The 3 problems are either the thermostat, the coolant temperature sensor, or the level of the coolant itself. Check to make sure the vehicle is fully warming up. Then check the operation of the sensor and the level. It can also set the P0170 if it is running really cold. More times than not the P0170 is related to a boost leak.

Not to sure on the coolent temperature. I just did a radiator flush not even 200 miles ago. Could it possably be the therm. stat? im just worried about the engine running too hot. i dont want to blow a head gasket. temp guage sits where it is supposed to.

Problems with any sensor maybe. The question is... which? Probably o2 lambda. Do you have a wideband?

This is definitely not it. Do you have a way to monitor the coolant temperature with a logging software of any kind? Does the temp. gauge drop really low once you start driving down the road. Your best bet is going to be the thermostat. They tend to stick open/close if they are left in open air for any amount of time. Like say if you drained the cooling system and then refilled it. The sensor could be an issue but this is usually accompanied by poor performance.

How do i know if the front 02 is bad? and where is the temperature sensor located so i can see if its connected. if so should i replace

For the temp sensor what should be the accurate running volts so i can hook a volt meter to it
