engine assembly help

okay so on our engines, what is on both sides of the crank?

like the timing belt side is it just the crank pulley or is there something else over there?


and on the clutch side, is it just the flywheel then disk and pressure plate or is there something else too?

sorry for the noob question but I'm having like a brain fart or something

well I guess it's a good thing I'm not building it....but I wanna make sure I bring EVERYTHING to the person doing my work.

Um...what exactly is this person doing for you?

Flywheel side: Flywheel (duh), clutch, pressure plate, accomodating bolts.

Damper side: Damper, sprocket, bolt, oil pump, water pump...how about you just look up front case rather than me type it all out.

I was justing making sure there wasn't like a spacer or washer inbetween anything.

for the part in bold...your saying its the crank then the crank pulley...and what sprocket and bolt? and btw I have a new frontcase.

and he's assembling the block and when he balances everything I wanna make sure I gave him everything

OEM DSM Crank Shaft Pulley Bolt (4)

OEM 4g63 Crank Pulley Center Bolt and Washer



so then it would be crank, pulley with 4 bolts and then the center bolt and washer, then the sprocket and big bolt ...then the frontcase and waterpump?

Why didn't you keep all this stuff when the engine was disassembled? Then you can hand it all to him and say "here ya go. Here is the complete engine." As far as balancing goes.....the only things concerned are the crank/rods/pistons....and the flywheel and clutch if the shop is willing to go that far.

If this guy/shop knows what they are doing, they will immediately let you know what's missing. If they don't, you should have taken it somewhere that does to begin with!
