Edmonton,
I'm using the AEMEMS in my 95 talon. It was installed when I bought the car. A couple months ago I blew the turbo so I decided to upgrade a few other things as well. There was no problems with connecting to the EMS before this happened but now that my car is done It won't let me connect. The message it gives me is "Cannot find USB communications library AEMUSB.DLL". I'm not too computer savy, but it seems like a file problem. I use a serial to USB cable with my computer because it doesn't have a serial port. I have tried reloading the driver, reloading the AEM software, virus scans. I use version 1.19, I'm stumped and it's starting to **** me off. hopefully someone can help, please.

When AEMPRO opens it asks you to select USB or Serial. You need to select Serial.

It's actually pretty stupid on AEM's part, their data port doesn't even support USB. They probably added it in the software for future EMS applications.

That problem is solved, now it just won't start, the car's got fuel, spark and compression, my basemap is still intact and working so the car should run, I never changed anything serious enough to not have the car run on the old map. I'm at a loss, let the detective work begin, help is appreciated. Toss some ideas up in the air.

Post your cal file and I'll take a look at it and see if anything stands out. If it's just the AEM basemap it usually won't start the car.

It's not supposed to be an AEM basemap, the car was tuned for the old 50trim and pump. I was hoping to use it as a starting point to tune the 3065 though.

Yeah I downloaded it but it's not a valid cal file. Try downloading the file from the EMS and saving it on your pc as something other than "workmap".

Does "Stat-Syncd" turn ON while cranking?

Will the car make any kind of attempt to start while cranking?

The car doesn't try to start. I pulled the fuel rail with the injectors and wires all still plugged in and none of them are opening, WTF?

I don't know what the hell happened, but I went to start it and keep an eye on the parameters, but it runs now, alls good, idle's a little off and the TPS needs to be set, so far so good though. Thanks for the help guys, I'll keep you posted.

dumb thing but ive done it once or twice.... are all the wires connected for your positive battery terminal?

Stat Sync'd turns on, it was running for a while, then it stalled and the start to end parameter was flashing red(?) and it won't start again.

It was for a while but it seems that something shuts off when it heats up. Rad fans are good, set to come on at 185 and do. Failsafe is set to 2XX can't remember off the top of my head, but it hasn't gone past 185 yet.

I can't for the life of me get it to save as anything other than a cal file, which won't upload.

I saw your thread on the AEM forums, post it over there and I'll download it and take a look. It's much easier to upload it on the AEM forums.
