was in the process of changing my emergency/parking brake shoes (yes, they're worn past limit...) and well i put the ride side on, the shoes and all the hardware, it went on fine, adjusted it to where i thought it could fit the rear disc...nope, no luck there, adjusted it all the way loose, no luck...looked at the cable and the lever, its not enough play or loose enough to what im guessing is the reason why i cant slip on the disc....so i try other side...no luck there either, even worse with this cable being even tighter, so i looked under console to see what the nut looked like(adjusting nut), well it was all the way tight. what i noticed, left side seems lil longer that right side, maybe thats why its more tighter. so i was thinking i should just go ahead and get new ebrake cables, now my question to you all is if anyone has dealt with any of these problems, and if changing the cables is my only solution. need answers and tips, anything, trying to just drive the gsx again.

Back the nut off as far as you can, then try and put the rotors on after giving yourself some slack by pulling on the cables in the back. You may have to slightly move the shoes around on the backing plate to get the rotor to slide on. Then re-adjust the adjusters so the shoes contact the rotor, then back them off slightly allowing the rotor to spin free. Then tighten the cable nut to adjust the lever travel. Should work. If you can't get any slack at the back, it sounds like the cable/s could be froze up.
