I'm having a problem with my e-brake when I'm on a hill, my car will slightly roll back. Are my rear brake pads worn out or is my parking brake no good?

^^ You can try this first for sure! Your parking brake shoes are actually inside your rotor. It's like a mini drum for the ebrake and totally separate from the disc brakes. You most likey need new shoes and hardware and then possibly to adjust the cable under the center counsel.

Oh wait I forgot to pull the lever down LOL this is the bolt right

If your shoes aren't really bad (worn out) just adjust them behind the rotor first, with the nut under the cup holder loosened. Then when you get the shoes adjusted to the point where your rotor slides over the shoes but doesn't snag and isn't tight to where it's hard to spin. then go back up front with the lever down and tighten the nut. Just to get all the life out of your shoes.

Take the brake discs off and inspect the e-brake shoes. If they are in good shape, then loosen the nut on the parking brake lever and expand the shoes via the adjuster (turning the star wheel will expand/retract it). Expand it so that shoes are just barely touching the 'rotor' part of the disc. Might not hurt to blast the brake mechanism with a cleaner since you are already in there. Put brakes and wheels back on and use the nut on the lever for final tuning after both sides are adjusted individually.

What, did you re write the above post or something in your own words? Lol :beatentodeath:
