Okay - here's the situation.

My 1G had some ghetto wiring done on the alternator by the previous owner. I'm now correcting it since I now have access to a garage and my soldering tools. The problem being, in order to get the alternator out, I had to pretty much destroy the harness in that area.

What I need to know to put this damned thing back together is what color wires go where.

2 small gauge yellow wires (low negative resistance)
2 large guage white wires (low positive resistance)

I know that some of these are supposed to have round spade connectors that attach to the alternator. Which ones, I'm not sure.

On this same section of the harness are:

1 medium gauge yellow wire (plug wire 1 for alternator)
1 small gauge black wire with a white stripe (plug wire 2 for alternator)
1 small gauge teal wire (oil pressure wiring)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Chiltons manual has EVERY electrical diagram EXCEPT the one with the alternator.

Alright, I found my service manual. I decided I'd go ahead and post my half-solution, in order to help anyone else who might have a similar problem out.

On the alternator circuit diagram, the way I'm reading it, it shows that the black/white stripe wire, as well as the medium gauge (2mm) yellow wire goes into the alternator plug connector. (B-19). The two large-gauge (5mm) white wires have the spade connectors that go onto the stud on the alternator (B-18). So those four wires are taken care of.

On the wiring harness diagram, the connectors are labeled:
B-17 - Power Steering Oil Pressure Switch
B-18 - Alternator
B-19 - Alternator
B-21 - Oil Pressure Swtich
B-22 - Oil Pressure Gauge Unit

As for the two small (0.5mm) yellow wires and the 0.5mm blue wire, those are the ones I have left to decide where they go. I know that the blue wire goes on the oil cooler somewhere, as well as one of the yellow wires. The other yellow wire goes on to the power steering pump. I guess it's just hook everything up, and see which one lights up the oil light when disconnected.
