Electrical ? While Driving Bouncin Revs and Engine Dies.

Hello everyone, and yes im new
Searched all over the forum, but it seems that there are alot of rev problems but not quite exactly like mine, i think my problem is more electrical then something to do with revs.

So this year my clipse 98 gs. did the same thing that last year, basically what happens is, that all of the sudden while im driving just one moment revs start to bounce up un down like crazy for like 4 sec and then the whole engine dies out on me, the usual scenario, i pull right over, engine turns but wont start, everything else from electrics work just fine, ligts, music etc. and then I usually call someone that can tow me. last year when this happened I took it to specific electrical workshop and after that to regular workshop, that just said, that its weird because they checked everything and did not find any fault, but when he put everything back together it started just fine. So im finally fed up with this, and if anyone can give me some guidance to what could it be that I could finally fix it once and for all I would really appreciate that.

My guess is a bad ground somewhere. Check the important ones; Battery to engine, battery to chassis, intake to chassis. If that doesn't work look for areas of corrosion.
