I tried searching for anything related to my problem, but have had no luck. I let my car sit for about a month in my garage because I am selling it. A few weeks ago I started it, dead battery. Jumped the car, and took it out for spin, and my brake light and battery light both came on and stayed on until I shut the car off. The lights aren't as bright as the other lights on the dash (i.e. seatbelt light). I read on here that this could be a sign of the alternator going bad. I took the car to Advance to get a battery check and alternator check. Both checked out, the battery put out 12.51v, alternator put out 13.44v under a load, and 13.76v under no load. Anyone have any idea what would cause this? I am selling this car soon and would like to have this problem resolved soon.

You probably need to check the wires, especially the grounds. I had electrical problems where my car would not start, battery was fine, but some of the wires were touching shorting out the car, and also my ground wires were bad. Hope this helps

Sounds kinda like what happened to my car a few days ago, check the wires coming off the alternator. Mine had rubbed against the O2 sensor and when it did so my battery and brake light came on and then weird shit started happening with my electronics.
