I have Eibach springs. I allways thought they were the Pro Kit until May first at the track day. I let another 2g fwd borrow my Drag radials which rub on my car. When on his car he had lots of space. He has the eibach pro kit on his car with Illuminass(sp?) 5 way adjustable shocks and I have Koni shocks. Anyways my question is: are all pro kits black in color and are all sportlines red in color. Both of ours are black springs thats why I ask. I dont want to buy a set of the pro kit springs if I already have them.

Edit: I tried to call the local suspension shop but they are already gone for the day.

Im not sure how old his are but mine are atleast 7 years old. It might be the Koni's though. Anyone else have this problem with koni/prokit combo?

on the RRE website they've got pictures of a 2g with the pro kit and a 2g with the sportlines... if you take a quick peak behind your tire im sure you'll notice that you've got a red spring back there, thats the sportlines. I run the sportlines and my tires rub when i get into a turn or hit a big bump.

Thats the problem. My springs are black so they are the pro kit. Now I have to find a spring that rides higher than that :(

I don't think the problem lies with your springs, I think it is somewhere else.

Check your isolators. They are 1" round rubber pieces that may have collapsed, mine were non-existent when I changed to Pros.

Did you cut the bushings (damper) as mentioned in the installation guide? Are you running good upper and lower strut mount bushings?

Those are all good questions that I dont know the answer to because I had them installed at a performance shop. Where exactly are all of these located? I will go out to check them. Thanks.

It would be nice if that was the problem. I want to keep pro kit springs in the front and put new taller springs in the back since I am FWD.

Now you say the springs are 7 years old right? Try taking a damp paper towel and wipe the springs to see if there is soot or dirt on them, as it is quite common for springs that old to have some sort of debris especially for a DD'd car. After doing this you might find out they are actually red, because they should def not be sagging I would think.

Without quoting your pic, what application are you using for part numbers and exploded views? I have a Chilton manual and the factory Chrysler shop manual and evtm(got both for free from the closed Chrysler program when I was in ford asset). But Id love to have a digital version for kicks.

Thanks. I will replace all of those no mater what because Im sure they are pretty crappy by now even if they arnt the problem. I would assume that these are parts that I can only get from the dealership?
Would these be the same parts/part numbers for the rear also?

I will aslo wipe one clean as mentioned above just to make sure.

So are you saying my springs are worn out or that its just the combo? What did you do to prevent it. I dont really want my car to sit as low as it does because my intercooler sits pretty low due to me wanting to keep my fog lights.

Springs tend to sag over time and it is possible that they are worn but start with isolators and bushings first. If everything is 7 years old, your isolators are shot, maybe your bushings too. Take your tires off and check for an inch of rubber at the top of the spring under the strut mount. If you don't see an inch of rubber, you need new isolators. Mine were compressed to about 1/8" after 7 years.

My money says toss all those ideas out the window!

Koni yellows have adjustable perches. You can lower your car ~1" with OEM springs if you really wanted so what has likely happened here is that you've installed your pro-kits on one of the lower perches. Should be a simple matter of a cir clip to adjust the perch height.

Let us know whats up when you pull out the shock assemblies for inspection. If for some odd reason you really do have sagged Eibach springs, fear not, they have a lifetime warranty against sagging.
Any just to clarify, I'm not knocking these guys, they actually have some solid recommendations.
