Ok guys I searched but was looking for a more definitive answer. I just order a set of Eibach sportline springs. My main question is am I gunna have rubbing issues, I'm running a motegi 18 inch rim with a 225/40/18 tire. Is anybody running this set up without any issues on a similar rim. Thanks everyone.

you shouldn't have a problem with that size, there is a tire thread that you can look up on here that gives you the fromula to help you. If you can't figure it out you can always ask Wret, his is the go to guy for this. Hope this helps you out.

first of all GO BIG RED! im running a 225/45 on my evo IX wheels w/ sportline springs and the tires aren't the only thing that rub, the front bumper and the exhaust gets it too. the biggest waste of money were my sportline springs just because it nearly makes your DSM undriveable around the city. i know its exactly what you didn't want to hear but if you can send back your sportlines for the prokit springs I KNOW you and your car will be happier hitting speed bumps. :thumb:

HA HA aight thanks man I'll look into it,the car isn't gunn be daliy driven anymore so maybe I'll fit them on and see how they sit. How low did it drop your car?? I don't understand why it says 1.7to2.3 in drop do they really sag that much???

The problem is that 1.7-2.3" is waaay too much for a DSM. Handling, driveability and ride are all sacrificed. Especially when the spring rates are lower than stock, like in the case of sportlines. Ideal drop for your average 2g is 1-1.5", closer to 1" though, in my opinion.

Off topic, is your car red like Gofer's, or Cayenne Red Pearl, like mine?

What is it they say opinions are like?

To answer you question. I have been running a 225/40 on 18 inch falken circuit spec wheels and eibach sportline spring/kyb gr2 combo for about 3 years now on my spyder with no issues. No rubbing at all. Its awesome. So yes, unless your wheels have some funky offset then you will be golden.

Now for my opinion on the sportline springs....I love them, I am absolutely satisfied and happy that I bought them. The car looks super aggresive, handles great, ride is perfect. Some people may say that it is too low of a drop on a DSM....I read several posts like that before I bought mine and it almost made persuaded me to buy the pro kits but I didnt, and im glad. I love the sportlines so much, we put them on my DSM, my SRT4, our Z28 camaro, and my DD Civic. On the DSM, its quite low, but if you can drive then you will be good.

You have a pic of how low it sits all the way around.
