I'm looking for feedback on folks using Eibach sportlines on a 1G. I don't care if you feel lowering is rice and all the other B.S. that comes with threads like this.

How is the ride quality? Do you feel it's too low and should have went with Prokits? Possible pics? General opinions (only from those using this setup). A lot of people I know with Prokits wish they had gone a little lower, but I'm trying to see if the sportlines are too low.

I have sportlines and agxs. I had to get a camber kit to correct the rear, got mine from taboo. the ride is stiff. not bouncy, but stiff and responsive. i LOVE em. the stance is agressive, as I like the way a LOW car looks, the prokits weren't enough for my tastes. I must say that I drive around with my AGXs on full stiff, front and back. pics:

lowered about 2". I rarely have problems with the car bottoming out, but it does take time and being careful to adjust to driving a lowered car. hope this helps :thumb:

Yep, same here. I love my Sportlines and am very happy with them. As for driving on full stiff with AGX's OMG Mine on four in the rear are bad. But that might be because my car is so light back there. Here is a pic of mine....

Kinda dark, but you get the idea.

You can pm AWDJDMTALON He has sportlines on his car also. I have prokits myself and are happy with them. I would like to be a little bit lower but my 3" Racing Beat exhaust passes under the drive shaft right in front or the rear diff and would probably bottom out on speed bumps and rougher roads. I can honestly say that the sportlines make the 1g's look better than the prokits.

Thanks for the responses guys. This is the type of feedback I was looking for, not opinions from people who don't use them. By the way AWDream, nice clean ride. Anyway, I think I'm leaning on getting a pair of the sportlines on AGX's too. I was just worried about wheel gap with the prokits and bottoming out issues. Thanks guys.

Just be careful of how low you go in case you ever want to get aftermarket wheels. I wanted the Sportlines in the worst way, but I have 8" wide wheels now and I would have chopped half my tread off if I would have lowered my car that much. I've also watched a friend with a VW Golf blow out 6 KYB-GR2s on Sportlines. Make me wonder if I want to deal with that since I just put GR-2s all the way around and I know my car weighs more than his.

thanks man! :thumb: you'll like the sportlines, i love mine. you will need a camber kit though...unless you wanna eat through tires LOL

I like the sportlines.. I just put a set on my gs.. they're awesome.. If your shocks/struts are shot be sure to at least throw on a new set. I dont think agx are in order unless you want it real stiff. It handles great with stock shocks and sportline springs. The point of suspension is to control the weight movement of the car... too stiff doesnt allow it to work properly. and after putting 100k on my last set of coilovers I had some stiff shocks and my hips hurt like hell after a year... I like the sportlines w/stock shocks bottom line. I have also tried them with suspension techniques front and rear swaybars added and it was like the car was on a rail. They work great without those too.. (the swaybars hang down another inch or so.. clearance was getting scarce.
