Eibach Pro Kit kyb adj shocks no camber kit?

Drag-racing: both front and rear.

Street and autocrossing: rear only.

Note: rear camber kits can be just new bolts and lots of washers. Search for "DIY rear camber kit" or "home depot rear camber kit."

Jtoby,
I was under the impression that with the 1.3"-1.4" drop of the Pro-Kit springs, a camber kit was un-necessary, and that it was the Sportlines (with 2" drop) that required it?

Care to comment?

-Steve

**Sorry, Sportlines are a 1.7" (claimed) drop, not 2".

On my awd I didn't need camber correction kits for the front or rear. The alignment shop got everything within spec without. Over the past two years I haven't noticed any horrible, uneven tire wear.

This is on an AWD car. The combo seems to lower a FWD car more so and I would suspect that camber correction kits would definately be needed.

I have the prokit and the rear camber kit is a must. I tried to drive whithout it for a while and It ended up eating away my rear upper control arm bushings. Also the car rides a lot better with the camber kit. I used the home depot camber kit :thumb:

The bump-camber curve is slightly steeper in the rear than in the front and the rear starts with more camber. Therefore, for both launching and handling, you want to delete some rear camber. Given that the DIY/Home-Depot method costs $10, you'd be silly to skip this step on a 2G that has been lowered.

I have the pro-kits and the illumina 5-ways and I had to buy a camber kit. I bought the Eibach camber kit, but I have used all the slack I have in adjusting it. I also need to adjust after a few months of racing. Other than that, the previous owner did not have one and the tires were becoming bald on the insides with about 90% tread on the outsides.
