On the way home today I encountered some seriously high egt's for an extended period of time. I think the drive took 15-20 minutes. I just so happened to have my computer hooked up and was able to review the log. It I was running high 1500's most of the time and a few times I broke into the 1600's for a few seconds with a max temp of ~1670. I'm pretty sure I had a pipe come loose because when I got off the highway I had no power at all and the turbo was trying pretty hard. I will check the piping out when the car cools down. I have weisco pistons (9:1) and my question is could/will these prolonged high EGT's without a WOT high boost situation be detrimental to me? Do any of the wisemen think I should be ok?
