its it safe to eliminate the egr valve i saw a guy on dsm tuners selling a block off plate and i also have herd that it will increase the hp i was just wondering if it would hurt cuz if not i will probally get it

Very much discussed- the EGR works about the same and has the same effects on all motors. It's not something you want to remove until you get into the highest levels of engine performance (constant track use with no street driving).

Therietcly if you remove the EGR you should gain HP. I'm not saying like 3 or 4 whp or anything, but a little. Maybe 1....maybe. I did it because it can't be good for the engine. I took my Intake Manifold off and couldn't believe the junk inside it. Plus, it cleans up the engine bay a little
